Berry banana smoothie

Hidden spinach when chewing breakfast feels like a chore. Great pre-practice if eating solid food makes you sluggish.

  • Frozen mixed berries1 cup
  • Plain Greek yogurt0.5 cup
  • Milk1 cup
  • Baby spinach1 cup
  • Honey1 tbsp

Quantities scale linearly with servings. Round to the nearest practical amount when shopping.

    Load the blender

    Add 1 frozen banana (peel first, freeze the night before), 1 cup frozen mixed berries, ½ cup plain Greek yogurt, 1 cup milk, 1 handful baby spinach, 1 tbsp honey.

    Blend on high

    Blend on high for 45 seconds until completely smooth. Stop and scrape down the sides if it gets stuck.

    Pour and drink

    Pour into a tall glass. Drink within 5 minutes, the texture changes if it sits.

Coach's notes

  • Spinach disappears completely behind the berries. Promise.
  • Use frozen fruit, not ice. Better texture, more flavor.
  • Want it thicker? Add another half banana. Thinner? More milk.
